When we rolled out our new payments system last week, we also launched a nifty little feature called Facebook Connect.
Facebook Connect lets you log in to both your Quirky and Facebook accounts with a single click, making it easier to stay connected on both networks without fussing with multiple passwords. You can also allow Quirky to publish stories to your Facebook feed when you post a comment, submit an idea, win a project, buy a product, or earn money.
Publicizing these actions lets you drum up support for submitted ideas, generate social sales, earn money from registration referrals, and more, using your existing social network. All clicks to the site through your Facebook page are attributed to your unique referral link, which means that you get credit when one of your friends takes action… without lifting a finger! When you think about it, there’s really no reason not to Facebook Connect!

BEAMER
The votes are in for Beamer surface finish, and the community has spoken: Soft Touch it is! Now that tooling has commenced, we hope to ship this product in 4-6 weeks.

THE SPACE BAR
Due to demand, we’re looking into placing two USB ports in the back and four USB ports in the front of Space Bar, as opposed to six in front. This may prolong the production process a smidge, but we’re confident it’ll result in a better product.

PETAL DROPS
Since this product requires minimal engineering, we’re looking at manufacturing it right here in the U.S. of A., which will significantly speed up the production process. Stay tuned for more details!
