Hey Quirks,
Whew! Whatta week. Our developers have been busy putting the finishing touches on our brand new payments system. Right now, we’re testing the platform internally, and we hope to launch it over the weekend. From that point on, you’ll be able to see your real-time influence earnings on the “My Account” page. Developing this system has been quite the challenge, and we thank you for your patience throughout it all!
We also launched an unprecedented second product research phase for the Click ‘n Cook to address community concerns over the product’s form, function, and storage. Help our design team as they finalize this product’s design, plus earn additional influence, by answering our quick survey over the weekend.
We also want to give a big welcome to our awesome new design interns, Kate and J-Shin, who started this week. They’re crazy talented and have been a huge help to our design team. Check out their quirks and say hi on the blog.

PRODUCT UPDATES

CLOAK
Our design team has spent the past week working through the engineering challenges associated with this product’s design. We hope to get it into the Quirky store by next Monday, just in time for the iPad pre-sale launch next Friday!

CORDIES
This product will be in your hands shortly! We’ll be sending all buyers a confirmation e-mail late next week, with a link to select color and confirm shipping and billing information. We hope to ship the product by March 20.

SCRATCH-N-SCROLL
We just approved the final packaging for the Scratch-N-Scroll, which we’ve lovingly dubbed our “Problem Child.” We’ll send out confirm-your-order e-mails in the next week or so, and we hope to ship the product by mid-March.

We’re working on a more streamlined design for our product evaluation pages, but in the meantime, try this tip from community member Clinton Fleener. On the project evaluation page, clicking on an idea’s title lets you collapse the whole entry. For easier browsing, try collapsing each entry after you’ve read and/or commented on it.

Why he rocks: Clinton is pro at providing useful, pragmatic feedback and advice on all of Quirky’s channels of communication – just check out his stellar tip on the left! Although he’s a relative newbie, he dove headfirst into the Quirky community, and if his amount of daily participation is any indication, he seems to be digging our process.
